I'm sitting at my desk, thinking about this and that. After 10-15 minutes, I notice everything has gone quiet. Then I start to hear myself! Well, what I mean is, I can hear my heart and I can hear my stomach, etc.
So loud... the sound of my heart. Everytime it pumps the blood up to my brain, I can feel it in my ears. Thump. Thump.
And when I swallow saliva, the sound is so loud.
When I inhale and exhale, the air passes through my nose and makes sound.
I listen with not only my ears, but with the entire body. I try to feel the sound... not just listen.
And that's when I can hear my own thoughts... free from outside noise.
Sometimes your thoughts are not really yours, you know?
