A Review of "The Girls Getaway Guide to Orlando" By Casey Wohl

The Girls Getaway Guide to Orlando by Casey Wohl is a very informative how-to book in helping to plan a successful girlfriends vacation. The author, who hails from Florida and went to school at Rollins University knows the area's fun and hot spots and doesn't mind sharing with her readers. What better an authority to get ideas from?

Covering every aspect of having a fun time with ones female confidantes, Wohl offers suggestions of many different varieties-not only will they appeal to women, but for couples and even families. But I digress, since this is to be the first in a series of How-To Guides for Girls Getaways.

If we're honest, when we think of spending time with same sex friends, we think of shopping, talking, being pampered, letting our hair down and maybe even trying things that ordinarily wouldn't even come into our minds-good thing these are all covered in this tote bagged sized paperback!

Wohl breaks the sections down into best areas for the theme your group is going for: Hotels and Bed and Breakfasts, cost efficient to lap of luxury. Restaurants by cuisine, need of reservations, dress codes and if the cost includes entertainment. Spas-their specialties, pricing when she can and hours of operation. Outdoor, indoor, specialty and even outlet malls are reviewed. Ms. Wohl lets her readers know about theatres, museums, side trips, places to try out several sports and even watching sports. She even lets you in on where you can go "ballooning", learning to surf or stomping grapes into wine, if you so want.

Another nicety is the author suggests planning your getaway with annual celebrations and happenings in and around Orlando. The book finishes off with a list of her favorites and why she always finds her way back to them.

Buy Kindle: Amazon's New Wireless Reading Device

Amazon Kindle is an electronic book (e-book) service launched by Amazon.com in November 2007. It uses an electronic paper display, reads the proprietary Kindle (AZW) format, and downloads content over Amazon Whispernet, which uses the Sprint EVDO network. Whispernet is accessible through Kindle without any fee. The Kindle sold out in five and a half hours, though Amazon have not stated how many items were available in the launch offering.

Technical specifications

The Kindle features a 6" (15 cm), 4-level grayscale electrophoretic display (E Ink material) with a resolution of 600×800 pixels (167 ppi). It measures 7.5″ × 5.3″ × 0.7″ (19.1 cm × 13.5 cm × 1.8 cm) and weighs 10.3 oz (292 g). The Kindle's internal storage capacity is 256 MB, shipping with 180 MB free, though it supports expansion through SD cards. The battery lasts roughly two days with wireless on, and one week with wireless off. The battery charges in about two hours. A computer is not required, but a USB 2.0 port (mini-B connector) is available for connecting to a computer (where it acts as a USB flash drive). The Kindle features a headphone jack and one-year warranty. The software runs on a modified version of Linux using the 2.6.10 kernel.

Content

The internal memory of the Amazon Kindle can hold up to 200 non-illustrated titles. Users can download content from Amazon in the proprietary Kindle format (AZW), or load unprotected Mobipocket (PRC, MOBI) or plain text content. Amazon offers an email-based service that will convert HTML, DOC (Microsoft Word), JPEG, GIF, PNG, and BMP documents to AZW. It also supports audio in the form of MP3s and Audible 2, 3, and 4 audiobooks, which must be transferred to the Kindle over USB or on an SD card.

Users can download content through the Kindle store. New releases and New York Times bestsellers list books will be offered for approximately $10. Classics like Bleak House will sell for around $1.99, with free samples available of the first chapter of each book. Subscriptions to newspapers will be available for between $5.99 and $14.99 per month, magazines between $1.25 and $3.49 per month, and blogs for $0.99 per month. Documents can also be emailed to a Kindle for $0.10. Access to Wikipedia is offered at no additional charge.

The device comes with electronic editions of its owner's manual and the New Oxford American Dictionary.

Experimental support for web browsing is included.

Criticism

* Although it supports unprotected Mobipocket books (.MOBI, .PRC), .TXT files, HTML, and Word, it also uses its own proprietary format (AZW) having its own DRM and does not natively support the widely accepted e-book format PDF. "Experimental" PDF conversion is claimed by the Kindle website
* The Kindle allows RSS subscription to select blogs for $0.99 or more monthly, even though one may use the experimental web browser to navigate to and read blogs without cost.

Product Description

Introducing Kindle™ Three years ago, we set out to design and build an entirely new class of device—a convenient, portable reading device with the ability to wirelessly download books, blogs, magazines, and newspapers. The result is Amazon Kindle. We designed Kindle to provide an exceptional reading experience. Thanks to electronic paper, a revolutionary new display technology, you’ll find reading Kindle’s screen is as sharp and natural as reading ink on paper—and nothing like the strain and glare of a computer screen. Kindle is also easy on the fingertips. It never becomes hot, and is designed for ambidextrous use so both “lefties” and “righties” can read comfortably at any angle for long periods of time. We wanted Kindle to be completely mobile and simple to use for everyone, so we made it wireless. No PC and no syncing needed. Using the same 3G network as advanced cell phones, we deliver your content using our own wireless delivery system, Amazon Whispernet. Unlike WiFi, you’ll never need to locate a hotspot. There are no confusing service plans, yearly contracts, or monthly wireless bills—we take care of the hassles so you can just read. With Whispernet, you can be anywhere, think of a book, and get it in one minute......

Similarly, your content automatically comes to you, wherever you are. Newspaper subscriptions are delivered wirelessly each morning. Most magazines arrive before they hit newsstands. Haven’t read the book for tomorrow night’s book club? Get it in a minute. Finished your book in the airport? Download the sequel while you board the plane. Whether you’re in the mood for something serious or hilarious, lighthearted or studious, Kindle delivers your spontaneous reading choices on demand. We’re very proud to introduce Kindle and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. - The Amazon Kindle Team

Customer Reviews

Been done, many times and failed miserably

I don't get it. There are eBook readers all over the web and THEY DON'T SELL even though they're cheaper, faster and smaller than this. This was the biggest rehash of old technology I've ever seen!

False Start Lane 5!!!
I am extremely tempted to purchase a Kindle, but ....

The limited control of kindle content is a big turnoff. they need to figure out how to better transfer the rights within a household or reselling.

A number of reviewers have mentioned the poor esthetic's. It really looks like the lid of a multi-purpose fax machine.

Amazon should think about bring in someone off the Apple design team to dial up the style.

Great Product dont listen to the negitive reviews
I just received my Kindle yesterday and love it! Dont listen to all the people out there that are trying to make you not buy it. don tlisten to all the people who say this will fail becuase you can only buy books trough amazon..NOT TRUE ive already got over 100 ove my books that were in PDF format on my kindle..do some research and you will find programs to reformat your old books into one that will work on kindle!
One of the best features (to me) is the built in dictionary. Nothing like scrolling up to a word pressing 2 buttons and seeing the deff pop up in 2 seconds. VERY helpfull! I ordered on my for my wife at the end of the night since you can LINK up more than one kindle to one account and still have access to any of the books you bought from amazon. Not that i plan on buying alot through them minsd you ;)

About the Author
Fifteen years ago, Robert Camp discovered an ancient method of determining people's destinies. He has authored and published several books, including Cards of Your Destiny, also published by Sourcebooks, and lives in North Carolina.;

Excerpted from Love Cards: What Your Birthday Reveals About You and Your Personal Relationships by Robert Camp. Copyright © 2004. Reprinted by permission. All rights reserved.

from Chapter One

This book has two main purposes, each of which are somewhat connected. The first purpose is to present information about each birthday of the year from the perspective of this system, which I call the Book of Destiny. Along these lines, you will find detailed information about your Birth Card and Planetary Ruling Card, both of which come from your birthday. You will learn how to look up anyone's Birth Card and Planetary Ruling Card and be able to read important and useful information about them that will reveal much about their personality and karmic destiny. I define our karmic destiny as a path in life that we will take by virtue of choices we made prior to coming into this life.

To get the most of this first feature of this book, you will have to learn the meaning of a Birth Card, Planetary Ruling Card, Karma Card and Personality Card. You will learn how to look them up and how each of them reflects on aspects of our personality. It is not as complicated as it may sound, but if you want to really get the most use from this system, I suggest you take the time to read through this chapter carefully, because this is where we will go over all of these things step-by-step.

The second purpose of this book is to give you unique insight into your personal relationships, particularly your intimate relationships. Chapter Two takes you step-by-step through the process of doing what I call a Complete Relationship Reading between any two people. You will learn even more about yourself as you study the cards of the people with whom you have been intimately involved. After all, our relationships are the clearest mirrors of ourselves that we can find.

So these are the two main features of this book, although there are many other things presented here that you will find useful in terms of information about you, your life and your relationships. So please, take your time and go through each section carefully so that you are familiar with the terminology used and what the different cards are. It is like learning a new language, but one that comes fairly easily once you get into it.
Customer Reviews

Interesting book
I studied this as a form of personal analysis & found that I could use it to predict some human behavior with it like in Astrology as well. There seems to be an agreement on birthdays having some predictible force on a person's choices in life. Interestingly enough I found a book that really handled that later, (...)
Science of survival. BUt this book was a useful step along the way to discovering my personal truth and what I was looking for.

Love Cards: What your birthday reveals about you and your personality5
I found Love Cards to be very interesting, surprisingly accurate, and very insightful in revealing all sorts of interesting information. A very fun book to share with your family, friends, and loved ones.

Scary Accuracy
It is a combination of numerology, astrology and tarot reading. This is the system that included all of them and is the forerunner to each of them before they were separated. You have to get the companion book "Cards of your destiny" Cards of Your Destiny: What Your Birthday Reveals About You and Your Past, Present and Futureso that you can use both books together for the best readings.

A must-have text for any truth-seeker!

astrology and spirituality
This book clears up so much about the very important planet Neptune that few astrologers have been able to adequately explain, until now. When you read this, you realize that Neptune is just as powerful a planet as Pluto. This is mandatory reading for all serious astrologers, but also accessible for those who are beginning their quest into this subject.

Editorial Reviews

About the Author
Fifteen years ago, Robert Camp discovered an ancient method of determining people's destinies. He has written five books revealing the secrets of the forecasting science featured in Cards of Your Destiny. He also does personal readings for well-known celebrities, teaches seminars and frequently appears on television and radio talk shows. His other book, Love Cards, is also published by Sourcebooks.

Excerpted from Cards of Your Destiny: Your Birth Card & What It Reveals About Your Past, Present & Future by Robert Camp. Copyright © 2004. Reprinted by permission. All rights reserved.
from the Introduction

What you are about to learn is part of an ancient esoteric science that has been kept secret for centuries. Mystical orders that have been in existence since before ancient Egypt have carefully preserved its secrets totally intact to be released to the public when the time was right. This is the first book to completely unveil these secrets and to show you, in great detail, how to use this fortune-telling system to learn everything about your past, present or future. You are among the first to discover and use the power of this ancient system, which is the original science associated with our common playing cards.

Inside, you will first discover what your Birth Card is. Once you know what this card is, you will be able to look up any year of your life and read the cards of your Yearly Spreads, which give specific and detailed information about every important area of your life. You will be able to know, in advance, what will be happening in the areas of love, romance, family, work, finances, health, travel, legal matters and your spiritual life, just to mention the most important. You will know what are the best times for marriage, business expansion, changing jobs or lines of work, travel and the sale of real estate. You will be able to see what is going to happen between you and anyone else that you know. People you know will be mentioned in your cards by their exact birthday. The essential nature of all your relationships will be fully explained, both on a lifelong basis and for the year ahead.

This book will guide you through the simple steps of doing a complete one-year reading for yourself. This one-year reading has specific information concerning each month of the year. In addition to this, you will learn how to do a weekly reading that shows you the influences present for every day of the week. With these two tools, you will have a valuable guide to help you make all your important decisions. Again, you can also use what you learn to do readings for anyone you choose. Many people have turned this science into a full-time career. Just as Arne Lein did, you will be able to make predictions about anyone for any purpose. Its knowledge can be applied to business or personal matters with great success.

This system is totally unique. Though it involves our common playing cards, you do not need a deck of cards to do a yearly reading, nor will you need any psychic power. All the cards that represent the events and relationships of every month and year of your life are already chosen for you and ready to be looked up in this book. It is like the fabled and mysterious book of destiny that so many ancient myths allude to. You will actually find a record of your entire life within this book. Whether you care to look into the future or the past, the information is here. All you have to learn is where to look it up and how to interpret the language of the cards. The meanings of all the cards are included so that you can easily translate your cards into information you can use.

To do a reading for yourself or anyone else you only need know three bits of information--1) birth date, 2) sex and 3) occupation. With this information alone, you will be able to access information that is both pertinent and practical. Unlike astrology, you do not need the place or time of birth.

But how specific and accurate is the information? Most people who learn it are surprised by its uncanny accuracy--how it names specific people and dates for events, often pinpointing exactly what will happen and with whom. I have found that this system is 100 percent accurate. This I have discovered after years of using and studying it. The more you use it, the more accurate it becomes because your comprehension of it increases. In the beginning, you will find it pinpointing specific events in an amazing way. Later, as you become more experienced at using it, you will see that it also shows you the hidden influences that are behind the external manifestations in your life. Its value as a guide for life decisions increases each time you use it.

Good to read and learn.
Good to know there is such a book like this, so we can prepare our step to the right direction.

I got the book and the software they are awesome
I cant do astrology worth beans, but the system in the book is very simple to follow & its so accurate. It gives you a year description thats very useful, informative, and reliable. It offers 52day by 52day description of your year that the year reading is also complimentary to. Lots of description and information given. Also you can see what kind of help or hinder the people are in your life, by showing you how to identify them by their birthday and the effect they have on you/your life and when. Quite a unique system, and way way better than any astrology programs/books i have ever seen. It Ranks way up there with The Mystic Quadrate System and deep comprehensive astrology books.

Absolutely riveting
It is a combination of numerology, astrology and tarot reading. This is the system that included all of them and is the forerunner to each of them before they were separated. You have to get the companion book "Love Cards" [ASIN:1402202377 Love Cards: What Your Birthday Reveals About You and Your Personal Relationships]so that you can use both books together for the best readings.

History: Fiction or Science? (Chronology, No. 1)

History: Fiction or Science? (Chronology, No. 1)

By Anatoly Fomenko

Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA),July 17, 2004
..deals with a very serious issue directly affecting humanity's comprehension of its own past..

From the Publisher
"History: Fiction or Science?" crowns 30 years of meticulous and extensive research performed by the eminent mathematician Anatoly Fomenko and his colleagues. This research started in fact as a unbelievable byproduct of russian-american competition in Moon exploration, when famous NASA scientist Robert Newton discovered a very strange phenomenon in lunar mechanics. This book is also the first volume in seven comprising "Chronology", the fundamental oeuvre that exposes and expounds the numerous inveracities of the traditional version of history.

"History: Fiction or Science?" contains data and conclusions that aren't anything short of revolutionary. The alternatives offered to classical history are stunning, unorthodox to the extent of being labelled heretical by virtually every scholar of history, and daring enough to be considered preposterous at first sight, although this impression never lasts longer than it takes one to read a few pages attentively.

In chapter I we are reminded of when the contemporary chronological scale was created and by whom, with the culprits named as the XVI-XVII century clergy that was in charge of all matters historical in that age. We also learn that the consensual model of history had prominent critics ever since its creation - among them such names as Sir Isaac Newton and Jean Hardouin, chief librarian of Louis XIV, the Sun King of France.

The author dissects every historical age and analyses the data from every source imaginable - Roman and Egyptian chronology take a good beating, and it goes rapidly downhill from there. Poggio Bracciolini and Petrarch take the blame for creating the legend of a mythical Classical age that never was.

The Biblical events are moved a lot closer to us historically, as well as geographically (the Biblical Jerusalem being identified with the mediaeval Constantinople, for instance). The New and the Old Testament swap their positions on the chronological scale, both exposed as referring to mediaeval events. Our perception of history changes dramatically even before we're through with chapter I.

In chapters II, III and IV the author summons astronomy and statistics to provide proof for his theories, which the latter yield gladly and abundantly, and we discover that our amazement resource was by no means used up in the previous chapter. Apparently, there is some vary valid astronomical proof for the author's theories in the ancient Egyptian zodiacs, Ptolemy's Almagest, and the Biblical Book of Revelation.

Chapters V and VI contain in-depth descriptions of the methods used by the author as well as the most meticulous rendition of the global chronological map with its numerous errors and glitches explained in a very level-headed manner - one doesn't have to be a mathematician to understand, but a great deal of common sense is required for that purpose.

Finally, in chapter VII we learn more about Antiquity and the Middle Ages, and how the division between the two exists in our mind only (which is a hard concept to accept, even though we familiarize ourselves with it at the beginning of the book). If this isn't enough, the appendices contain all sorts of factual information to appease the sceptics as well as provide fresh New Chronology converts with deadly ammunition for keeping the critics well at bay.

Basically, this is the first successful attempt to finally transform history into a rocket science and a must read for everyone who isn't entirely indifferent to human history,… and possibly also for those who are.

Dear prospective Reader, we have the pleasure to invite You to use the 'Search Inside' feature to acquaint Youself with the book.

Has history been tampered with?
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RAZQNMXM4M9CL Has history been tampered with? Yes, it has! Did events and eras such as the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, the Roman Empire , the Dark Ages, and the Renaissance, actually occur within a very different chronology from what we've been told? Yes, they certainly did!

The history of humankind is both drastically shorter and dramatically different than generally presumed.

Why is it so? On one hand, it was usual custom to justify the claims to title and land by age and ancestry, and on the other the court historians knew only too well how to please their masters. The so called universal classic world history is a pack of intricate lies for all events prior to the 16th century. World history as we learn it today was entirely fabricated in the 16th-18th centuries. It's likely that nobody told you before, but

there is not a single piece of firm written evidence or artefact that is reliably and independently dated prior to the 11th century.

Naturally, after what you've learned in school and university, you will not easily believe that the classical history of ancient Rome, Greece, Asia, Egypt, China, Japan, India, etc., is manifestly false.

You will point accusing finger to the pyramids in Egypt, to the Coliseum in Rome and Great Wall of China etc., and claim, aren't they really ancient, thousands of years ancient? Well, there is no valid scientific proof that they are older than 1000 years!

The oldest original written document that can be reliably dated belongs to the 11th century!

New research asserts that Homo sapiens invented writing (including hieroglyphics) only 1000 years ago. Once invented, writing skills were immediately and irreversibly put to the use of ruling powers and science.

The consensual chronology we live with was essentially crafted in the 16th century by the Jesuits.

The world history was compiled from contradictory mix of innumerable copies of ancient Latin and Greek manuscripts and other irrefutable proofs delivered by late mediaeval astronomers that were cemented by the authority of writings of the Church Fathers.

Early in life, we learn about ancient history. Children love the magical lessons of history - they are like fairy tales. Teachers recite breathtaking stories; very soon We learn by heart the names and deeds of brave warriors, wise philosophers, fabulous pharaohs, cunning high priests and greedy scribes.

We learn of gigantic pyramids and sinister castles, kings and queens, dukes and barons, powerful heroes and beautiful ladies, emaciated saints and low-life traitors.

Ancient history is based documents, manuscripts, printed books, paintings, monuments and artefacts - called primary sources.

The problem is that neither these ancient documents, nor events described therein can be irrefutably dated, moreover they contradict each other for the most part.

When a school textbook tells us that Genghis Khan in year X or Alexander in year Y, have each conquered half of the world, it means only that it is so said in some of the written sources.

There are no answers to simple questions:

When were these primary sources written?

Where and by whom were these sources found?

It is wrongly presumed that ancient and medieval chronicles, written by Genghis Khan's or Alexander the Great contemporaries and eyewitnesses, are readily available. Actually, only sources written hundreds or even thousands of years after the events are there, compiled mostly in the 16th 18th centuries, or even later.

As a rule, these sources suffered considerable multiple manipulations, falsifications and distortions by editing. At the same time,

innumerable originals of ancient documents under various pretexts were destroyed in Europe under various pretexts.

The names of persons and geographical sites often changed meaning and location during the course of the centuries.

Geographical locations became clearly defined on maps only with the advent of printing.

This made possible the circulation of identical copies of the same map for purposes of the military, navigation, education and governance tasks.

Historians from Oxford say: "hey, everybody knows that Julius Caesar lived in the first century B.C.

`Julius Caesar' statement is only a point of view as

there is simply no irrefutable documentary proof that Julius Caesar or any other great name of antiquity ever existed.

Better than that - extremely rare sources that can be reliably dated back to the 10th-14th centuries A D, do not show the polished picture of classical history.

They show a picture both contradictory and confusing.

All methods of dating of ancient sources and artefacts are erroneous:

Radio-carbon C14 method produces dating with exactitude of plus minus 1500 years, therefore it is too crude for dating of events in historical timeframe!

The Almagest tractate, which lies as corner stone contemporary chronology, compiled in the 2nd century A D by Ptolemy, the founding father of astronomy, contains astronomical data of 9th to 16th century!

The Bronze Age,that has supposedly began 5000 years ago. Bronze is made of 90% copper and 10% tin, but the technology for tin extraction dates back to 14th century A D!.

All eclipses contained in manuscripts, like Thucydides one, relating 'ancient' events have exclusively medieval dating. All horoscopes cut in stone or painted in Egyptian temples, like Dendera have exclusively early medieval dating solutions.

Not quite what you have learned in school? Open your eyes, and, you will find sufficient proof to reach step by step the inevitable conclusion that the classical chronology is false and therefore, that the history of ancient and medieval world universally accepted today, is also false. Have a fresh outlook on everything said or printed about "ancient" and "enigmatic" Roman, Greek and Egyptian, medieval as well as all other "lost and found" civilizations.

Antiquity and Dark Ages are phantoms invented in the 16th 18th and polished in 19th 20thcenturies. Human civilization is in fact barely 1000 years old!

This book will change your perception of History forever!
What if Ancient Rome, Greece and Egypt were invented during Renaissance?
What if The Old Testament was a rendition of events of the Middle Ages?
What if Jesus Christ was born in 1053 and crucified in 1086 AD?
Sounds Unbelievable?
Not after you've read "History: Fiction or Science?" by Anatoly Fomenko, the genius mathematician.
Armed with astronomy and computers Anatoly Fomenko turns History into a rocket science.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.

Pants on fire?
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.

The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need, CD-rom Edition

The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need, CD-rom EditioTn
By Joanna Martine Woolfolk

Everyone's favorite astrology book, having sold over 500,000 copies, is now even easier to use with an interactive CD-rom! This edition still includes all of the detailed information about how to cast your own chart the old-fashioned way and, more importantly, how to interpret it once you're finished. But the CD-rom in this new edition allows the reader to cast his or her chart by inputting the date, time and place of birth into the computer, producing a personalized astrological chart in just a few minutes. Once the reader's chart is created, he or she is directed to the corresponding pages in the book to read further about moon signs, sun signs, ascending signs, placement of the planets in their houses, and much more.

Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal
Although this is not the only astrology book that your library will ever need, it is still a valuable title that should be strongly considered. Woolfolk, the horoscope columnist for Marie Claire and Redbook magazines, has updated her classic guide for the first time in 19 years. Thoroughly covered here are sun signs, moon signs, planets, and the significance of the 12 zodiacal houses, as well as the most recent discoveries in astronomy and 21st-century projections. The author gives an easy, logical way to integrate the interpretations of the sun signs, moon signs, planets, and houses in any given chart, something not easily done or often seen in general astrology books. The book's only shortcoming is its lack of instruction on making a detailed technical chart, which is necessary if one is to cast a complete and accurate horoscope. However, Woolfolk compensates for this by teaching a simplified method that is about 90 percent accurate enough to get a beginner started and includes a bibliography for further instruction. Astronomical tables are included to help cast the simplified chart. A great bargain for the price, this is highly recommended for all astrology collections. The Only Astrology Book you'll ever Need
This is a fantastic book. I have already constructed charts for some of my friends and interpreted it for them. the book's interpretation of the natal chart is very thorough and unbelievably accurate. The book also provides deep insight and descriptions of how astrological interpretations work that is insightful into the deeper meaning underlying this cosmic tool.

For better or worse it is ALWAYS right!

This book is SO on! With any new relationship I check to see what the book predicts and for better or worse it is always right. Maybe I should pay more attention to what the book says and it would save me some time and heart ache ;) The title says it all really.

Very Helpful
I already knew the basics of Astrology, but this book and program has helped me a lot. Even my husband, who is very knowledgeable about Astrology, found it quite informative and easy to use

Incredibly accurate

It's like they knew everything about me...had seen every interaction with anyone i knew, just knew my thoughts and the way i was inside and out...it's strong traits and weak traits were dead on...it described me as :over-confident, exhibitionist, and unbalanced, for weaknesses and magnetic, provocative and determined for strong...and as i read more and more into the profile of my birthdate, i realized it all related to me in some small or significant way through out my life...very interesting book...very curious indeed...pick it up and have a look...or you can check it out at the nearest book store if you wanted to...my friends and anyone else i come in contact with...love this book...glad to own one...

Writing on a razor's edge

Astrology is a really controversial issue, and I did not believe in anything related with this before read this book in an airport bookstore. Everywhere I read about my sign they tell me wrong stuff and general things. After read Goldschneider book, however, I begin to believe that there is some sense at all in this matter. He made no mistakes about me, and was absolutely precise about my way of thinking. I read friends, parents and relatives descriptions too, and the level of precision was also incredable, without deep errors or misconceptions.
The research he said he made can explain much of what is said. Even if the complete meaning of what can explain astrology is obscure yet, this book has a very accurate text.

I love this Book
This book is amazing! it really does seem to capture the essential nature and habits of individuals born on a specific day. Every one who has looked themselves up has been impressed with the accuracy. we use it as a kind of icebreaker or party game. we also find that it is helpful for gaining insight if you are going to introduce someone or speak at a memorial service etc. I plan on buying copies for my children and maybe a new one for myself because we use this one so much it is getting worn out.
